Tanzania on the other hand, is one of the unique destinations on the African continent that has yet to be discovered. Day 01: Nairobi (D)

Arrive in Nairobi.
Meeting assistance upon arrival, our representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel.

Day 02: Nairobi / Amboseli (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you Drive to the Amboseli National Park (240 KM/approximately 4 hours) for your overnight in there. This afternoon we enjoy our first game drive, across the game rich plains of one of East Africa’s most prolific wildlife areas. Lying within sight of the imposing shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania, the expansive plains and infinite skies of Amboseli present us with a landscape that is truly African. Home to the proudly independent Masai, its dry savannahs thunder beneath the onslaught of the vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, impala and the elephants for which it is famed. Panoramas filled with lush swamplands and acacia forests provide ideal havens for myriad birds and small mammals, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, caracals and warthogs, whilst cheetahs, lion and hyena hunt the open grasslands.

Day 03: Amboseli (B,L,D)

We enjoy our morning and afternoon game drives in search of a staggering array of wilderness experiences, from the magnificent herds of game that sweep across these dusty plains, to the majestic sight of some of the 700 or so elephants for which Amboseli is justly famous. We may even be lucky enough to perhaps encounter the rare black rhino.

Day 04: Amboseli / Arusha / Ngorongoro (B, L, D)

After breakfast we check out and take a morning game drive en-route towards the border town of Namanga, where we cross into Tanzania and continue to Arusha (160 KM/approximately 2 ½ hours – this does not include any delays that may occur at the border). After lunch in Arusha, we resumed our journey to the spectacular setting of the Ngorongoro Crater (190 KM/approximately 4 hours) for our overnight in there.

Day 05: Ngorongoro Crater (B, L, D)

Spend a full day exploring the woodlands, lakes and wide-open plains of the Crater floor. Ngorongoro offers unsurpassed viewing of rare black rhinoceros, which are undisturbed by vehicles and allow viewing at close range. Some of its other 25,000 residents include lion, elephant, hyena, wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, ostrich and an abundance of pink flamingos on Lake Magadi. Return to your lodge late afternoon.

Day 06: Ngorongoro/ Serengeti (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti National Park, a vast treeless plain with thousands, even millions of animals searching for fresh grasslands. As the largest national park in Tanzania, the Serengeti attracts thousands of tourists each year. The annual migration of wildebeest and zebra is one of the park’s great attractions, but throughout the year the Serengeti is excellent for seeing predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, hyena, hippo, rhino, and many varieties of antelopes and birds. En-route visit to Olduvai Gorge (Optional at additional cost). This important archeological site has revealed an ancient skull and bone fragments that have delivered critical information about early mankind. PM game drive to the park.

Day 07: Serengeti National Park (B, L, D)

A thrilling day of game viewing will take you to prime areas of central Serengeti for seeing the fullest possible variety of animals. Visit hippo pools in the Seronera Valley, forests where leopard and colobus monkeys live in the treetops, kopjes where lions laze in the shade, and riversides where large animals congregate to drink. Return to your lodge for excellent meals and time to relax on your private balcony, swim in the infinity pool, and perhaps take in a Maasai cultural program or guided nature walk.

Day 08: Serengeti – Western Corridor (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you will have a game viewing in the Serengeti and will arrive at one of the most luxury camps in the western corridor of the Serengeti Plain. Enjoy your time here.

Day 09: Serengeti / Masai Mara

After an early morning game drive, we continue to the border at Isabania (300 KM/approximately 5 hours), where we cross back into Kenya and head for the breathtaking beauty of the Masai Mara, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kenya. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.

Day 10: Masai Mara (B, L, D)

With almost every species of animal great and small in the park, this is one of Africa’s premier wildlife areas and today we enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in search of the ‘Big Five’ (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino). This is safari at its best and Africa at its most spectacular. Heartland of the Masai, southwest Kenya presents a landscape where Africa is laid bare in all its majesty. Here the endless struggle for survival is played out across the vast open plains and riverine forests of this captivating land. Each year the Mara explodes into life, as the annual migration of great herds of wildebeest journey from the Serengeti to fresh pastures in the north. Between July and October the Mara River becomes the setting for the crossing of some 1.3 million animals, bringing with them the inevitable predators and the inevitable dramas.

Day 11: Mara / Nairobi / Departure (B)

After breakfast, you will drive to Nairobi airport to board your onward flight back home.
