Regular half day city tour in Lima. You will see the historic monuments of Lima – for example the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral, Government House, we will drive through the main streets, squares and avenues. We will start at Love Park (Parque del Amor) in Miraflores with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Then we will have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture.
We will walk to the Convent of Santo Domingo, where St. Martin de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima could be seen in the seventeenth century and where their remains are currently buried.

We will continue to Qenqo, former "Templo Del Puma" where we can see an altar for sacrifices inside the rock and then Tambomachay, the center of worship of the Incas water, a sacred source of life and health. Then we drive to the Temple of the Sun "El Korikancha", the Temple Solntsa where the Incas carried out their main ritual celebrations. Legend has it that this temple was completely covered with gold leaf, and marveled the conquerors on their arrival. Finally, we will visit the Main Square and the Cathedral, which keeps colonial works and paintings of inestimable value, such as the Cross who arrived with the first conquerors.

Train departure to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will get us to the transportation through  an intricate path offering  a spectacular view of the Urubamba River that shapes the famous canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome us with its incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial enclosures and urban areas. The energy emanates from everywhere. After a guided tour, we will have time to explore the Citadel and have lunch in one of the local restaurants. At the scheduled time, we return by train and will be transferred to the hotel. Machu Picchu - THE LOST CITY OF THE INCAS - is a 15th-century Inca site located 2,430m above sea level.It is situated on a mountain ridge above the Sacred Valley which is 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Cusco and through which the Urubamba River flows. Most archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472). Since 1911 when it caught international attention, Machu Picchu has become the largest tourist attraction in South America. Most of the outlying buildings have been reconstructed in order to give tourists a better idea of what the structures originally looked like. By 1976, thirty percent of Machu Picchu had been restored. The restoration work continues to this day. Machu Picchu became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Day 20: Tour Titicaca Lake
