Day 02: Melbourne Morning City Sights Tour (B)

The Diverse Wonders Of AustraliaAny time of year is the perfect time to visit Melbourne and our private guides are the masters at delivering a memorable, tailored experience to satisfy the individual interests of every guest.
With its Victorian architecture, stunning gardens and edgy bar, culinary, fashion and live music scenes, Melbourne is an obvious start. Its iconic laneways and alleys are home to some of the city’s best cafes, bars, boutiques and galleries. Explore these with your local guide, getting a real insight into what makes this cosmopolitan city different.
Recognized as the sporting capital of Australia, we will be visiting the sporting areas including the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground affectionately known as the M.C.G, Melbourne Park and Albert Park Grand Prix circuit. Enjoy a stroll in the Royal Botanic Gardens and tour the Shrine of Remembrance. Here, learn about Australia’s wartime history.
We will also be exploring the Bayside areas including St Kilda (Melbourne’s summer playground) and take a walk along the beach-side promenade. Other attractions you may include in your day are the Yarra River, The Golden Mile, Royal Exhibition Building, Parliament House and the Fitzroy Gardens. The luxury of this private city tour enables you to get a comprehensive look at the city through a local’s eyes.

Day 03: Melbourne To Uluru (Ayers Rock) (B/D)

This morning, airport transfer via Jetstar flight direct to Ayers Rock.
Upon arrival, take the shuttle coach to your hotel.
Note: On arrival, check with reception for the time of this evening’s transfer for Sounds of Silence dinner.
Late afternoon ~an hour before sunset, transfer to the Sounds of Silence dinner site by coach.
The Diverse Wonders Of Australia At the Sounds of Silence experience, you can dine under the canopy of the desert night, while your very own storyteller shares tales as told in the stars – starting with a drive into the desert. Your journey begins on a lone sand dune. A path takes you to an uninterrupted, three hundred and sixty degree view of this vast landscape. In front of you is the fabled Uluru; behind you are the domes of Kata Tjuta and, possibly the most spectacular sunset you have ever seen. Here you enjoy sparkling wine and a selection of delectable canapés. Dining under the sparkling outback sky: as the sun sets, you feast on a barbecue buffet of authentic Australian delicacies including Barramundi (fish), bush salads and classic desserts, complemented by Australian wines. Attention then turns to some of the world's best stargazing, as our star talker takes you on a tour of the spectacular southern night sky. As you wind down after dinner, you are offered a choice of tea, coffee or port. Tour duration 4 hours.

Day 04: Uluru To Kata Tjuta (B)

The Diverse Wonders Of Australia This morning proceed about one hour prior to sunrise and travel to Kata Tjuta with your Outback Australia guide. Revel in the early morning serenity of a truly spiritual place as the sunrise colors change on Kata Tjuta. Learn about this diverse environment. Walk between the mighty conglomerate rock walls into Walpa Gorge and hear how the 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years. Take time to listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls that surround you. The spirituality of this amazing location embraces everyone who ventures here. Return to the resort for lunch at own arrangements.
Later, we will leave about 3pm and travel out to Uluru with your Outback Australia guide to explore the most profound and culturally significant monolith in Australia. Embrace the culture, geology and environment. You will meander into Mutitjulu Waterhole, undertake the Mala Walk and visit rock art sites with your guide to learn of Uluru’s significance to the Anangu (local Aboriginal) people. Adjourn to the TalinguruNyakunytjaku viewing area where you will observe an uninterrupted sunset over Uluru with Kata Tjuta in the distance.

Day 05: Uluru To Cairns (B)

Breakfast at your hotel. Time at leisure until airport transfer to board your flight.
You can also go for optional tours that are available at extra cost.

Day 06: Great Barrier Reef (B/L)

The Diverse Wonders Of Australia 7.45 am ~this morning, a short walk to the wharf – close to your hotel.
8.00 am ~check in for your cruise to the Great Barrier Reef, with snorkeling and lunch.
8.30 am ~ Set sail aboard the 32 meter luxury sailing catamaran for a day to remember. A low lying vegetated sand cay encircled by a spectacular fringing reef, Michaelmas Cay is a National Park and a protected sanctuary for migratory seabirds. Be active and enjoy all the included activities - snorkel and cruise in the semi-submersible for coral viewing with tour commentary. Or you can just relax and enjoy a leisurely day on the Great Barrier Reef! The choice is yours! Your day includes 4 hours on the reef morning and afternoon tea and a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch including seafood. Your snorkeling equipment and buoyancy vest are provided and Marine Biologists will do a presentation about the Great Barrier Reef. After the cruise, walk back to the hotel.

Day 07: Daintree Aboriginal Guided Day Tour (B/L)

Pick up from hotel by your Aboriginal tour guide for today’s private tour. Travel north of Cairns to the Daintree National Park. Visit a number of culturally significant areas and learn about the amazing relationships the Kuku Yalanji still have with their land. Learn the history, culture and traditions of the local Aboriginal people and the area. Walk through the world’s oldest living rainforest, see natural wonders, waterfalls, where the rainforest meets the sea and coastal habitats, learning about the environment, different foods and medicines utilized from nature. Lunch is included today. Tour finishes at 5.00 pm at your hotel.

Day 10: Sydney City Sights & Sydney Opera House (B)

The Diverse Wonders Of Australia Take an exclusive look into the heart and soul of Sydney’s life and culture. This private tour takes you on an intimate journey revealing the Story of Sydney. It all begins in The Rocks. Visit iconic locations, traveling through historic regions. Discover the back streets of Sydney's most fashionable suburbs and live the life of a Sydneysider. Your tour will introduce you to: The Rocks – the birthplace of the nation, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, Mrs Macquarie's Chair and historical buildings, luxury suburbs with harbour and coastal views, fashionable dining and shopping precincts, Bondi Beach, the scenic Bondi to Bronte walk (which you will have time to walk if you wish, although the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly). Your tour finishes at approx. 12.30 pm.
This afternoon, a guided small group tour of Sydney Opera House for 1 hour.

Day 11: Sydney Harbour Lunch Cruise (B/L)

The Diverse Wonders Of Australia Morning at leisure until your lunch cruise departing at 12.30pm
Treat yourself to Sydney Harbour's most sensational lunch cruise. A unique, luxury four hour cruise experience. The captain & host of your ship will share the rich history of Sydney Harbour and its foreshore as you take in the sites of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House and the bays and coves of Sydney Harbour. Enjoy a gourmet 3 course BBQ lunch with regional wines, local beers and 5-star service. Immerse yourself in all the activities that a private vessel offers, including, swimming, fishing and kayaking – or sit back, relax on the expansive sunbed and do nothing at all. Your cruise returns you to Campbells Cove at 4.30pm.
