Fatehpur Sikri : It was the imperial city of the Mughal dynasty
between 1571 and 1584 built by the Mughal emperor Akbar. The architectural

experience the aura of its magnificent edifices by seeing them. The royal
city of Fatehpur Sikri is situated 26 miles west of Agra, and is now a World
Heritage site.
Itmad-ud daulah : It is one of the most beautiful of Mughal tombs
which stands across the river Yamuna from the Taj Mahal approximately one
and a half kilometers up-stream. It belongs to the age of Jahangir and
contains cenotaphs of Mirza Ghiyas and Asmat Begum, parents of the powerful
Mughal Empress Nurjahan, the queen of Jahangir who was extremely beautiful
and an astute administrator. This tomb is significantly different from the
tombs of the Mughal dynasty built before its construction.
Agra Fort : The city of Agra is also known for the renowned Agra
Fort, which is a genuine treasure trove of the Mughal architectural
tradition. The various buildings within this fort complex represent the
assimilation of different cultures, which was an important feature of the
Mughal period.

Air : Indian Airlines (Domestic Airline in India) runs daily flights
from Delhi to Agra. Kheria Airport (Airport of Agra) is about 6 km from the
Agra city centre and is easily accessible by taxis and auto-rickshaws.
Rail : Agra is well connected by excellent train services to various
parts of the country. The important railway stations are : Agra Cantt Rly
Stn, Raja-ki-Mundi Rly Stn, Agra Fort Rly Stn.
